Templates replace Civil 3D assemblies allowing users to quickly fine tune templates for roads, curb returns, islands and grading strings.
A template is a series of user defined codes left and right of a centerline that defines the top surface of the cross-section. The graphical user interface that Civil Site Design uses makes it easy to create and configure the top surface as well subgrades for specific project needs.
Civil Site Design provides dozens of sample templates, many state specific, to allow users to make modifications and either use them locally for a project or store them globally for future projects.
This play list contains 3 videos covering using the template editor, creating templates and editing templates.
